Wandered Lonely As A Cloud
Wandered Lonely As A Cloud
A3 Print | Archival 300 GSM
In William Wordsworth's poem ' Lonely As A Cloud' he writes about a field of daffodils, a special and dear place to him. His love for this field of flowers is so vivid he speaks of his ability to visit it anytime he wishes, through his imagination.
This is how I often visit Garie.
Acknowledgment of Country
My work depicts Country that was never ceded. Garie Beach is home to the Dharawal people. From 2011, the many thousand year old Midden found on Garie beach was declared a 'Dharawal Resting Place,' with human remains reinterred. Two other middens that exist in the Royal National park date 3000 years old and 8000 years old
I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land on which I paint and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
